Last season, as a result of some player shortages in the centre of the club, the Loppers and the Willows 1s were merged to create what will surely prove to be an unstoppable force for seasons to come..

The Loppers have a long and proud history at Old Loughts, starting as the bottom team in the Higgins London league and after transferring to the East Men’s league working their way up via numerous successes and promotions to division 4SE. However, there have been fewer and fewer regular Loppers available recently, and an injection of new blood will rejuvenate this part of the club.

The more recently established Willows 1s were division 10SE champions in their inaugural year 2017/18, division 9SE champions in 2018/19, division 8SE champions in 2019/20, clear leaders of division 7SE when hockey was abandoned due to Covid in 2020/21, and division 6SE champions in 2021/22. Having merged with the Loppers in division 4SE, with the clear aim of maintaining their progression.
