Old Loughts Mavericks

Coaching for boys and girls aged 7 to 14 is available free of charge on Tuesday evening at Old Loughts during school term times throughout the hockey season. Formerly known as the Youth Academy, it was set up in 2000 and is open to everyone of all standards from beginner to elite, regardless of whether they are a club member.

Mini Hockey

Coaching and team participation for boys and girls aged 5 to u12 years is available during school term times on Sunday mornings at Old Loughts from 09:30 (arrival from 09:15 to allow registration at the Meet & Greet desk).

U6s 09:00 - 10:00 - new time
U8s 09:00 - 10:00 - new time
U10s 09:30 – 10:55
U12s 09:30 – 10:55

U12s & U10s girls have a session on Wednesday evenings 18:30 - 19:45 and the boys on Thursday from 6.30-7.45pm.

We have a successful mini section and participate in all sections of the Essex Youth League. Many mini hockey members have never played hockey before joining the club.
