Congratulations to our intrepid Back to Hockey squad, who travelled yesterday to the national Lee Valley stadium for this year's 7-a-side Back to Hockey Cup. For many, it was their first visit, and hopefully a memorable day.

Eight teams took part, ranging from as far afield as Southgate and Bromley & Beckenham, and excitement levels were high. With 13 players in the morning session, reinforced with more in the afternoon, there was plenty of energy, not least from our very noisy travelling supporters!

The team had a superlative day, winning five out of seven matches and coming second overall after a nail-biting decider in the last game. The standard of our play was very high, with everyone benefiting greatly from John Wright's insights as coach.

Well done everybody!
