Good evening Loughts family,

As the club celebrates a fantastic set of results last weekend, this season is now well and truly up and running! However this matchweek also saw an important moment taken to recognise an undoubtedly immense achievement for the previous campaign.

Last season saw many teams score goals and keep cleansheets, though the Supevets were definitely up there for their clinical edge, as well as robustness in defence. And whilst the attackers were doing the business down one end of the pitch, there was one man down the other, who provided the firm foundations for the team's success.

Jeremy Porter, the long-seasoned Loughts Vets keeper, continued to roll back the years, to rack up an incredible 9 cleansheets for the season - 3 clear of the next best individual total at the club!

This is an achievment that deserved to be celebrated properly, and that was just what happened on Saturday when he was presented with his truly deserved award, in front of a raptuous applause from the rest of his very appreciative teammates.

A huge congratulations Jeremy, and here's to another season of shot-stopping between the sticks!
