NEW COMMS AND EVENTS TEAM ANNOUCEMENT!

NEW COMMS AND EVENTS TEAM ANNOUCEMENT!

Ryan Gladman

OLD LOUGHTS ON THE MAP!

Good afternoon all!

I am delighted to announce some exciting news as we approach the start of the new season.

Building upon the momentum created around the club in recent years, with various ventures being developed thanks to the tiresss work of all club members, it is now time to spread our collective wings even further, and reach the far ends of the national hockey community.

To do this, I am thrilled to introduce a new team of individuals dedicated to continuing such progress this season.

The new Communications and Events Team will be dedicated to ensuring that club members receive the upmost value for their membership, as well as make sure that teams across the club come together so much more! The club has invested a lot of time already into adapting to the social media world we live in, but this new team will take this on further and really help everyone stay connected with the club's fantastic achievements, events and general news.

And without a further ado, I would like to introduce you to the key members...

So, first up we have myself, Ryan Gladman (M3s Captain), and Rosie Bristow (W2s Captain), leading on general communications across the club's social media and public accounts (Instagram, Facebook...). We are both also your first point of call for all club news and comms, inc. Pitchero and WhatsApp.

Completing the team is Zak Bowyer, who will be taking the lead on all things fun this year at the club, as Social Secretary. We have got some exciting events planned for this season, and again he will be the first point of contact for this.

Further to this, Zak is also taking over as Mixed Captain at the club this year, and we are very keen to get this team back off the ground, with players of all levels involved this season. There are currently some friendlies being arranged in September, before cup games begin in October, so, if you are interested in playing, please do get in touch with him.

Beyond us, there is also a committed group of volunteers who will be helping the team sustain the buzz across all sides this season, but we know there exists plenty of enthusiasm in the purple and white ranks of our fabulous club, which will only help make sure that we continue to grow as a hockey family and give even more back to members.

And finally, whilst Pitchero is an extremely useful app for central club communication, we also appreciate that it can be a lot more convenient for members to make contact/be contacted through other means. This presents an exciting opportunity to expand our existing communications and events agenda, so if you have any ideas or suggestions of changes to club comms, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This is the start of an amazing journey for us all to be a part of, and we hope to only build upon what makes our club the incredible community it has always been.

Thank you all for your time, and the team looks forward to shine a light on the immense quality in the Loughts ranks, as well as organise many more socials this year!

Wishing all players and teams the very best success for the season,

Ryan, Rosie and Zak
Comms and Events Team
