The M1s were on the road again on Saturday afternoon playing against Sevenoakes - a game which has historically been a high scoring affair.
Quarter time soon rolled round with the score still 0-0 but Loughts only had themselves to blame having missed several half chances. The rest of the first half was more of the same - Loughts ‘knocking’ on the door but squandering any chances that fell their way, including several corners.
Discipline (and carelessness) cost Loughts in the second half and two greens and two yellows meant the lads were down to 10 men for a total of 14 minutes. During this time chances fell to both sides with both teams lacking the composure and ruthlessness to put the ball in the back of the net.
Whilst the match was a lot more exciting for the neutral than the score line suggested, it somehow finished 0-0. Not the score line I promised at the end of last weeks match report. Two draws from their opening two games leaves Loughts on 2 points in mid table ahead of their first home game this Saturday, under lights against Guilford.
