With a loss from the previous week, we set out to have a win for this game at home against Hertford. It was a quick start and Hertford were very good at setting the press, stopping balls down the line. Despite this, it was a hard fought, albeit scrappy, first few minutes with some good runs down the left and right that resulted in a fantastic ball across the face of the goal that was just missed by those on the far post.

Hertford were unrelenting and had several menacing attacks, but a strong performance from our keeper kept us in the game.

Sadly though, the second half resulted in a one on one that Hertford capitalised on and went 1-0 up. Old Loughts fought hard and almost equalised, but lost the battle. Unfortunately Hertford were the better team on the day.
