Being near the top of league, we knew this was going to be a hard fought match at lee valley. The forwards set up in the centre and moved non stop, resulting in a lot of running being needed by our defence throughout the game. However, Anna, Kim, Alisha and Laura kept up with their players.

They were a very strong team and good at leading for the ball. We maintained pace with Crostyx however, with some good stick and ball skills in the middle of the pitch by Cress, Shiv, Georgie, Rachel and Heather. The umpiring was not in our favour, resulting in short corners that should not have been awarded and a quick ball taken from the top of the D that again should not have been awarded, resulted in Crostyx going 1-0 up. This was quick followed by a second goal on the far post and a goal from a short corner, making it 3-0.

We reset for the second half, and our passing was better. Phoebe made some fantastic saves. We were close to getting a goal on two occasions with Elis and Kaz making some good runs to receive the ball. We came close to scoring, with Agnes on the post in our short corners and a couple of passes going across the front of the goal. Eventually, we were able to get a goal from one of our attacks, that Cerys put away. The defence continued to fight hard and Dottie turned some of the Crostyx players inside out with her skills near our D. No more goals were scored after this and Crostyx walked away with another win.
