Although we lost 0-1 it was a pretty evenly matched game. We may even have had the edge.

We played with a fair amount of energy, considering it was the first game back after the break and we only had one sub (to OS's 3 or 4 subs). We were also reasonable in our close contact skills and tackling. Our slight let down, especially in the first half, was our onward passing, which could have been more accurate and sensible. Quite a different team make up this week though, with many regulars missing, so overall a decent performance.

Unfortunately, earlyish on in the first half, an OS attacker managed to lose her marker in the D, in front of goal, well positioned to tap in a cheeky slip from her team mate who was approaching on the right baseline. Instead of shooting she made the classic pass back to the P spot.

Apart from that there were chances and shots at both ends but no further goals.

As the game went on we did become more disciplined in our man to man marking in the defensive area, thereby managing to stifle many an OS attack, so that was a plus.

Returning from injury, Sabby was our MoM this week, for her skill and determination both as a midfielder and up front.

A hearty macaroni cheese and garlic bread (the garlic fumes were quite strong on the drive back ;) in a warm clubhouse for those who stayed for teas.
