6. Code of conduct for use of the internet, web-site communications and social media

The club has a webuser guide which covers the authorised use of the club website by captains, coaches, managers and club officials.
This policy covers the use of online communication between;
(a) members themselves; and
(b) members and captains, coaches, managers, club officials and other club volunteers (together “Club Representatives”)
as well as the use of the internet and social media generally.
This policy is based on the Child Protection in Sport Unit “Statement of acceptable use of internet and social media” template which stresses that whilst online communication is importand for children’s and young people’s development, relevant safeguards need to be put in place to ensure children and young people (as well as adults) remain safe whilst online and using social media.
This policy forms part of the club’s code of conduct. Every parent, guardian and carer must agree to adhere to this code as a condition of membership for a mini or colt member. Each adult member must also agree to adhere to this code as a condition of membership.
These statements are made by each member for themselves and by each parent or guardian on behalf of their child (mini or colt member).
